The “human factor” is the key to success in organizations! People are the common denominator of organized endeavor — regardless of the organization’s size or purpose.
Since I became a self employee and interact with the different people and different organizations, my self-efficacy hit me. The question is how much I believe in myself? If I have believed it, can I do it? What does it means self-efficacy in working environment?
After Researched I have found so many definitions of SELF-EFFICACY which I would like to share with you.
Self-efficacy is a person’s belief about his or her chances of successfully accomplishing a specific task. Self-efficacy arises from the gradual acquisition of complex cognitive, social, linguistic, and /or physical skills through experience!
Importance of Self-Efficacy of working on team environment in determining individual satisfaction and performance is increasingly becoming common in the companies organization.
Self-efficacy is a personal constructs and as the approach is becoming popular, more and more employees are getting involved in teams. Individual satisfaction is an important variable for long term organization performance. Therefore, individual Satisfaction of working in a team becomes an important consideration for the entrepreneurial organizations.
As of we know self-efficacy, satisfaction, individual performance and team performance in a team setting. Researchers have found strong relationship between self-efficacy and performance of a specific task and the relationship between job satisfaction and performance remains a controversial issue. Self-efficacy of working in a team would have a mediating effect through satisfaction with team environment on individual performance.
There will be a positive correlation between the Predictor
variables of Person-Environment Congruence, Self-efficacy,
and Environmental Identity and the criterion variables of
Satisfaction with Work, Satisfaction with Pay, Satisfaction
with Promotions, Satisfaction with Supervision, Satisfaction
with Co-workers, Overall Job Satisfaction and Self-efficacy
